Banjul, 4 May 2022: IHRDA is acting as Legal Counsel for AdvocAid Sierra Leone in a case recently filed at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court of Justice, seeking to overturn discriminatory loitering laws in Sierra Leone. The case seeks to compel the Government of Sierra Leone to repeal the petty offence of loitering as the current laws on loitering discriminate against the poor and marginalised in the society.
