We believe all human rights defenders should have access to the knowledge and skills needed to seek the protection of African human rights system and challenge human rights violations on the continent.

IHRDA trains human rights workers on using African human rights mechanisms; the provisions of the ACHPR and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC), as well as the procedures of the ACmHPR and ACERWC.

Our current country specific litigation workshops for diverse civil society actors aims at developing key human rights cases to be litigated at the national and continental levels – the ACmHPR, ACERWC and the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACtHPR).
