The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is pleased to share the attached short note on ‘Statistics and Human Rights’. This is OHCHR’s contribution to the current discussion on the indicator framework for the Post-2015 development agenda. The note spells out what a human rights-based approach to the data revolution would be in practice and provides key OHCHR resources. It will be a useful reference for human rights practitioners, Member States, civil society organizations, statisticians and others who are working towards a new Sustainable Development Goals, including an indicator framework that is fully consistent with international human rights law.
