By February 9, 2016March 18th, 2021No Comments

IHRDA is currently conducting the sixth human rights training workshop for law enforcement officers in The Gambia. This session targets officers from agencies around the MansaKonko area and runs from 9th – 11th FEB 2016.

It should be noted that our target is to realise 8 of these training sessions in different localities within The Gambia between October 2015 and March 2016.

Each participant is given a CD with compilation of all relevant Gambian laws, as well as all African Union and United Nations instruments pertaining to policing and human rights. Meanwhile, we are developing a human rights manual for Gambia law enforcement agencies.

This project is being realized with the financial support of British Embassy in Banjul.
