By February 25, 2016September 16th, 2019No Comments

IHRDA today completed the seventh human rights training workshop for law enforcement officers in The Gambia. This session targeted officers from agencies around the Brikama area and ran from 23rd – 25th FEB 2016.

It should be noted that our target is to realise 8 of these training sessions in different localities within The Gambia between October 2015 and March 2016.

Each participant is given a CD with compilation of all relevant Gambian laws, as well as all African Union and United Nations instruments pertaining to policing and human rights. Meanwhile, we are developing a human rights manual for Gambia law enforcement agencies.

This project is being realized with the financial support of British Embassy in Banjul.
